Take Root Family Adventure Pass

The Take Root Family Adventure Pass is designed for families who want to stay connected to Take Root’s nature-based community throughout the year. Whether you’re waiting for a Forest School opening or simply looking for meaningful outdoor experiences together, the Adventure Pass offers opportunities to explore, connect, and build lasting memories.

Membership Options

$425 Family Adventure Pass – per family, per year
For families on the Forest School waitlist or not currently enrolled in forest school classes.
If your child enrolls in Forest School during the membership year, $50 will be credited toward your Forest School enrollment.

$375 Family Adventure Pass – per family, per year
For families currently enrolled in Take Root Forest School classes. Included WITH enrollment.

Your Adventure Pass Includes

• Three Nature Family Field Trips (September–June)
  Choose one adventure each season from our scheduled field trips.
  • Some experiences, such as boat trips, require an additional fee.
  • Select from a variety of nature excursions throughout South Florida, with destinations ranging from Key Largo Everglades City to Jupiter and West Palm Beach.
• Three Seasonal Family Festivals (September–June)
  • Celebrate the changing seasons with the Take Root community.
  • Autumn, Winter & Spring – follow the cycle of the earth around the sun!
• Two Family Beach Picnics (September–June)
  • Family fun ocean-side – mingle, play and enjoy.
• Priority Access
  Adventure Pass families receive the opportunity to:
  • Join the official Forest School waitlist with priority consideration.
  • Register for Take Root family and homeschool classes as they become available.

Additional Member Benefits & Special Experiences

Take Root Family Adventure Pass members will receive a discounted membership opportunity to Bonnet House Museum & Gardens, providing families with more ways to explore, learn, and connect with nature throughout the year. With the purchase of the Bonnet House Membership, families have reciprocal access to Flamingo Gardens, Naples Botanical Garden, and Bok Tower Gardens.

Members will also be invited to special seasonal and bonus experiences throughout the year, such as a Winter Lantern Walk at Hillsboro Pineland Natural Area and other unique nature-based gatherings created exclusively for our Take Root community.

Seasonal Family Festivals

All Take Root Festivals are held at Snyder Park in Fort Lauderdale.

Nature Family Field Trips

Adventure Pass families may choose three all day field trips during the membership year—one each season. Dates to be announced in early September. For each seasonal adventure, families may select from multiple available dates. Registration is first-come, first-served through Eventbrite.

Family Beach Picnics

Adventure Pass families are invited to enjoy two relaxed beach gatherings during the membership year. These special days provide an opportunity to connect with other Take Root families and staff while spending unhurried time exploring, playing, and enjoying the ocean together.

Please note: Transportation, parking, and any applicable beach entrance fees are not included. All beach picnics take place at Mizell-Johnson State park in Dania.
