Family Forest School offers a nature-based, experiential learning environment for preschool-aged children and their parent or caregiver. Each session provides time to slow down, explore, and discover together, with the forest as a shared setting for play and connection. The rhythm of the day is gently guided by song, storytelling, and open-ended exploration. Within this flow, children and caregivers are invited into both shared and independent play, allowing curiosity to lead the experience and sparking imagination through direct engagement with the natural world.
Uninterrupted time in nature supports deep, meaningful play using natural materials as tools for creativity and discovery. As children climb, run, balance, and jump, they develop gross motor skills, while hands-on manipulation of natural objects strengthens fine motor development.
Rooted in a holistic approach, the program nurtures connection—to nature, to self, and to one another. It encourages positive, responsive interactions between children and caregivers, supporting secure attachment, social-emotional growth, and a shared sense of wonder in the natural world.
Forest Schools are nature-based communities where facilitators provide opportunity for learner-led exploration and discovery, nurturing meaningful experiences for positive lifelong impacts. Forest School is a child-centered, inspirational learning process that offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions. It is a long-term program that supports play, exploration and supported risk taking. It develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting.

| Family Membership Fee $375 per family | The Family Membership is good for the duration of the Forest Year and is non-refundable. Includes the Family Adventure Pass – providing access to 3 Nature Family Field Trips, 3 Seasonal Family Festivals & 2 Family Picnics. Members also receive discounts on workshops when offered. |
| Registration Fee $150 per child Supplies Fee $30 per child, per enrolled day | The Registration fee is paid once per year, per child, is non-refundable and secures the place in the program or on the wait-list. The Supplies Fee is paid once a year with your first payment. It is good for the duration of the Forest Year and is non-refundable. The The Registration & Supplies Fee allow for administrative costs, budgeting and procurement of supplies, planning of curriculum and training of the team. |
