The Take Root Forest Learning Community is thrilled to re-introduce the Nature Seekers classes for homeschooling children, ages 5 and up – taking place on Fridays in Coastal Natural Areas & Parks of South Florida. Nature Seekers by the Sea is centered around ecological themes that are brought to life through experiential learning, outdoor exploration, eco-literacy & stewardship, songs & stories, games & play.
Students will explore, discover and learn the intricacies of S. Florida ecosystems. Through observations and discussion they will experience the effects of nature and humans on the ever-changing ecology – building awareness of their Sense of Place and the Interconnectedness of these systems!

Travel to nearby coastal ecosystems and learn how the forests, the wetlands, and the sea are interconnected!
Bring the wonders of the coast TO LIFE.
This unique class travels to different parks in the Broward County area – exploring the nurseries of the estuary, the habitat of dune and strand, and the science of the sea!
This class is a hands-on/real time exploration of the Florida coastal ecosystems – the plants and animals, microorganisms, weather, current, and tides. Discussions will include the effects of nature and humans on the ever-changing ecology.
Place-based activities, songs, projects and mindfulness by the sea…a unique opportunity right along the shore of the Atlantic Ocean.
