The Wilder Roots continue to use the forest as the backdrop to the children’s learning. The students work together in a collaborative effort, with the environment, themselves and each other. As they grow, they expand outward by participating in stewardship projects that support the local environment and the wider community. This class is designed for children ages 11 (by start date). Take Root directors and teachers take into consideration both the age and the social and emotional development of each child when determining their group placement.
