Learn about Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserves and the marine-life just below the surface. Protect and support our bay!
Grab a net…It will be SEINEsational!
You never know what you may see…crabs, sea stars, seahorses, fish, urchins, conchs, and more.
Kids will get a chance to try out kayaking with our Junior Bayologist Kayaks. BBAP Naturalists will use the large seine net to discover what is hidden in the seagrass. Dip nets and buckets will be provided for everyone to use.
Enjoy time outdoors. Enjoy nature where you live.

Space is limited! $15 per participating person day of event – bring your check or cash “Friends of Biscayne Bay” on day of event.
We will post exact meeting directions to people who have rsvp’d in advance of the event.
Babies and toddlers 3 and under are welcome and do not need to be added into cost.
Park entrance and/or parking fees are not included.
Event is rain or shine.
Severe weather may result in a canceled event.
Attending Netters Need:
Protective water shoes – closed toe preferred, old sneakers or water shoes or water sandals ok. NO FLIP FLOPS. CROCS pop off and aren’t the best.
A filled eco water bottle.
Something to sit on and picnic. A packed NO or LOW waste snack/dinner. All waste needs to be packed out. Styrofoam is illegal and plastic is discouraged.
Clothes that are for swimming and can get wet or dirty.
A towel and change of dry clothes and wet bag for sandy shoes and wet clothes.
Insect protection just in case – natural is encouraged.
BBAP provides the guide, the nets and buckets, the kayaks, the paddles, the pfd’s, and noodles.
You are welcome to bring masks, goggles and other play toys.
