Ocean Seekers focuses on marine ecology, and is geared to children, ages 8 and up. Integrating hands-on observation and data collection with experiential exploration and discovery, the Ocean Seekers Program enlivens curiosity and delight in children who are interested in the sea and its life within. The student’s experience is developed further through activities and presentations with guest naturalists, rangers and scientists.
The Ocean Seekers Program is centered around a marine science theme and includes coastal studies and observations, educational games, experiential learning and activities; as well as child-led play and exploration. Ecological Literacy, team-building, cooperation and stewardship are central themes woven throughout.
Should your child participate in more than one day per week, the planned activities and curriculum will vary to provide a diverse week of experiential learning.
Please read our Covid-19 Guidelines and Adaptations. Learning will take place in our outdoor classrooms. There will be small groups of no more than 8 kids and their teacher/guide. All groups will be adequately supervised and will follow safety guidelines and protocol. All staff are screened and trained. Lifeguard will be present during water play. All locations are protected and beautiful.
Your child can SEEK all week long, yet always do something different!
